Lab Fitness 5K coming to Warrington
The Lab Fitness + Spa 5K, the third race in the Panera Bread Bucks 5K Series, will be held on Saturday April 18 at 9:30am. The pavement takes all kinds of runners), so organizers cheer on all ages and abilities at the race.
In addition to the 5K race, there will be a 5K Pump and Run, a 1-mile Fun Run, and a 2-mile Fitness Walk. Both the Fun Run and the Fitness Walk will be held at 9 am.
Registration for all events will begin at 7:45 a.m. at the Health and Wellness Center, 847 Easton Rd., in Warrington.
The 5k series has been a key part of raising much-needed dollars for local non-profit organizations. This year The Lab 5K’s proceeds will benefit The Future of Emergency Care, a campaign for the Emergency Department at Doylestown hospital.
Proceeds from the Bucks 5K Series will assist in the much needed expansion and renovation of the Emergency Department that has become apparent with increased usage over the years.
On Saturday, wake up this quiet, residential neighborhood as you pant your way through the twists and turns. Don’t worry, there is plenty of flat terrain as well as few rolling hills for the adventure seekers.
Then, celebrate your sweat and strain with the post-run festivities. Dance, get a massage, win prizes and find out if you’ll be walking the red carpet at the awards ceremony. For those of you without a sitter, The Little Lab is open during the race.
